The OSU School of Mechanical, Industrial, and Manufacturing Engineering (MIME) comprises about 40 full-time faculty members and instructors, about 20 staff members and research associates, around 120 graduate students, and 900+ undergraduates. We offer programs that lead to BS, MS, MEng, and PhD degrees in mechanical engineering; BS, MS, and PhD degrees in industrial engineering; BS degree in manufacturing engineering; and MS and PhD degrees in materials science. Fields of specialization within the mechanical engineering program include design/mechanics, dynamics and control, materials, and thermal–fluid sciences. Within the industrial and manufacturing engineering programs, fields of specialization include manufacturing systems, information systems, and human systems engineering and nano/micro fabrication. The School of Chemical, Biological and Environmental Engineering at Oregon State University has its roots in one of the oldest and most respected chemical engineering departments in the western United States.
