Looking for a team to jump with? The Oregon State University Hunter/Jumper Team is a group of
dedicated riders who practice and show together on the USEF "A" rated circuit and in the OHJA local
system. The team holds schooling shows and other events to raise funds for horse shows. We provide
a place to meet people interested in showing hunters and jumpers and a chance to learn from each
other's experiences while working towards a common goal. The team is coached by OSU Alumnus Jennifer
Olarra. The fall of 2008 will be Jen's tenth year coaching the team. Jen has been training Hunters
and Jumpers for fourteen years. Ra-El Farms has become the jump team's sponsoring barn; providing a
practice arena and a college friendly atmosphere to keep team member's horses. If you're interested
in joining a competitive show team for practices once a week and the occasional weekend show, please
contact us. Tryouts for the year will be held the first or second weekend of fall term Requirements: -Mandatory attendance at team meetings, lessons, and other scheduled events. -Each member is required to volunteer for team shows. -Each member is required to volunteer for organizing team functions, activities, & other projects. -All team members are required to pay $10.00 for Equestrian Club dues for the year. -All team members are required to pay $150.00 for H-J Team dues for the year. -All new team members are required to pay a $10.00 catch ride fee for any school horse used for tryouts. |
