Reimbursements

The Tri club reimburses active members who have volunteered at a club event.

To be considered an active member, you must have paid the current years dues, and signed a waiver. A copy of the waiver is available to print here. Hard copies are available at spin workouts and in the sports club office. Please turn in a signed waiver (sign both sides) and a check or money order together payable to OSU Tri Club). The club box is located in the Rec Sports Club Office in Dixon to the left of the main entrance.

You must volunteer at either the Beaver Fever OR the Beaver Freezer to be eligible for reimbursements. If you can not personally volunteer at one of the events, you are required to provide two volunteers to take your place.

As an active member, you are eligible to be reimbursed for the club races listed with a star on the race page. You are also granted $60 toward a race of your choice. Your choice race must be either a triathlon or a duathlon. The $60 can be used all at once, or for multiple races. For example, if you participated a race in your home town costing $40, the club will pay for that race and you will have $20 to go towards another race. Another way the money can be used is towards a more expensive race. For example an ironman. The race entry is $550 and after turning in your receipt and racing, you will be given $60 towards that race.

To obtain your reimbursement you must:

  • Provide a receipt for the race. This receipt MUST include all of the following info:
    • Full name
    • Student ID #
    • Address
    • Phone number
    • Email
  • Provide proof of your participation in the race. (Your finishing place and time are enough)
  • Turn this information into the club box and notify the treasurer. Your reimbursement will be mailed to you after completion of the race.

To participate in the Wildflower Weekend or the Pacific Crest weekend, a deposit is required. As races do not provide refunds for any reason, the club can not either. Whether you break your leg or have a family emergency, the club can not be responsible for reimbursing races and racing accommodations for people who do not show up.

The deposits for our weekend trips are $150 for Pacific Crest and $300 for Wildflower. These deposits need to be in the form of a check made out to OSU Tri Club. The check will be held (NOT CASHED) until you race, then will be returned to you or destroyed (your choice). If for some reason, you do not go to the race, the check WILL be cashed to help cover costs.
