We have been delinquent in our website updates, so we are trying to play catch-up here. In mid-June we headed back to the Midwest for a visit. Anders and I left for Minneapolis before Ted, and our dear friend Barb generously offered to drive back to ND with me and Anders for a visit. We saw the whole gang, as you can see in the pictures.
Ted then joined us in Minneapolis, where he had a week-long conference and a trip to a wind farm in southern MN. We spent the week with Barb, Alan, and Barb's dad Robert, otherwise known as Popsy to us. Popsy is a robust 96 year old, who just moved in with Barb and Alan after a fall while raking leaves in his own yard left him with a broken arm. He is doing great, and can raise his arm up again, and is happy to be one of the gang at Barb's. Barb and Popsy delighted Anders with all kinds of songs, and Anders would often look around and ask, where's Popsy?
We also visited all of our Minneapolis friends throughout the week. Those of us with children gathered at Jen and Derek Reise's house on Friday night. We appreciate their generous offer to host, and yard full of toys to entertain the kids!
Through mid-July we spent time around here, and got to see some of Oregon's natural beauty while camping and hiking.
We will make an effort to get the July-August pictures up soon as well, but we are reading the last Harry Potter book aloud after Anders goes to bed, so our free time is spoken for until we get to the end!
