One last weekend at the beach before the summer closes. We met with our friends Michael and Beth (and their kids) from Salem. Michael and Christy were classmates in law school. A good time was had by all. Christy made seafood coconut crepes (Keto approved!) with seafood from Local Ocean, and Beth and Michael brought a fabulous beet salad with potatoes. Thanks also to the von Jouanne family for letting us use their beach house.

In other news, the end of the summer is going well. Nora and Anders are both doing well and have been keeping busy with the many camps and activities that Christy so expertly arranges for them.

Here's a video of the kids doing their things:

We really haven't seen much in the way of heat waves. We had a late, cool spring and the warmest it has been so far is mid 90s for only a few days in a row. Otherwise we are at our normal low 80s each day. And it always cools to 60 or so in the evening, regardless of the mid-day high. I love that about Corvallis. It's already getting to feel a bit fall-ish.

Nora is now about 4 weeks off of Depakote and still going strong. Christy does an amazing job of coming up with interesting and convenient recipes for her. Check out the latest updates at
