CHANCE

GLACIER

The dog above is my puppy, Chance. He is part border collie, part yellow lab, part husky (as far as anyone can tell). Most of the time, he's a mild-mannered puppy dog. Sometimes, however, when there's a need to subdue evildoing tennis balls or shoes, he turns into Krypto.... The second picture is Glacier National Park. Note the ferocious grizzly bears frolicking amongst the trees.

I spend as much time in the mountains as I can. Below left is Eagle Cap Mountain, in Northeastern Oregon. No ferocious grizzly bears here, just cougars following us around. To the right is Capital Reef NP in New Mexico, and below that Haleakula in Maui. No cougars in Maui. No snakes either. Just big turtles, massage therapists, and psychologists lounging by the pool instead of going to talks. Or so I hear, because I was at the talks.

Had another nice visit to France recently. Good thing I had my own personal, french-speaking guide, because things are clearly better that way. Here's the Louvre pyramid, and two little guys on Mont Blanc.
