Radiochemistry is an interdisciplinary applied science that

explores both the radioactive and chemical characteristics

of elements and compounds to address technical needs in

many areas, including the nuclear material science, waste

treatment and disposal, environmental and biomedical

applications.

The Radiochemistry Program is an interdisciplinary research

program available to the PhD students at the Departments

of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, and Nuclear

Engineering and Health Physics in Oregon State University.

When applying for Graduate School, select your PhD

degree major (Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, NE or RHP).

It will  determine your core educational courses

Elective courses (e.g., Radiochemistry, Nuclear Chemistry,

Radiodetection Methods, Waste Management or Radiobiology).

will be chosen to fulfill your research study profile.
