This page lists assignments, old tests, notes, Maple worksheets, sample
problems, etc., for Mth 251.
You may find this material useful for studying.
Expect some overlaps in the various files.
Eventually very old files will dribble off the bottom.
Many of the documents are in Portable Document Format (PDF) or are
Maple worksheets (MWS).
PDF files are "Portable Document Files." You can use the
free Adobe Acrobat Reader, available at
http://www.adobe.com, to view or print PDF files. The
Acrobat Reader plug-in is installed in the browser(s) on many
campus computers. There are many other software packages for
reading PDF files. Maple Worksheets require Maple to be useful.
Problems
viewing or printing PDF files. Please report any problems you
have reading or printing my PDF files.
For some of the tests and sample problems below I have listed the
answers. When creating a list of problems I often edit the problems several
times but forget to edit the answers! I make a careful list of answers for
grading purposes, but that list is often lost. Other errors occur too. So take my suggested
answers with a very large grain of salt and check your answers, especially if we
disagree.

2008 Winter Mth 251 Differential Calculus Test 2
PDF
34 KB, 3 pages, 8 problems
-
Answers: / CAD / ACBE / C /.
Note: There was a misprint on the class test (corrected here). The exponents in
answers C and D should be negative. The absence of the minus sign was probably
barely visible during the pressure of working on the test. Thus I gave
full credit for the answer E (since it was actually
correct) as well. Several other small errors on the test were corrected in
class and on the attached version of the test.
