Paper Three

Most syllabi for WR121 contain a true "syllabus"--that is, an outline of what's happening when in the course, as well as a "class info sheet" with basic policies and procedures.  Be sure to spend ample time thinking through your syllabus.  For example, if you intend to enforce an attendance policy, it's difficult to do so if it isn't in your syllabus.  When procedural questions arise, students should have something to which to refer.  See examples below:

Sample 1: TTh: Explaining an Idea, Analyzing a Text, Arguing a Position

Sample 2: TTh: Analyzing an Event, Arguing a Position, Explaining an Image

Sample 3: MWF: Analysis, Argument, Rhetorical Situations

Sample 4: MWF: incorporates a presentation and critical response notebook

Sample 5: MWF: Analyzing an Event, Arguing a Position, Explaining an Image
