I've updated ILLASAP to include illiad functionality. Please note, the illiad functionality has been tested but I'd test
it on your own systems before running full board with it.

Sorry to those waiting -- this program has been finished since May but I'd assumed that I'd distributed it to those that were waiting.
However, I'd gotten a letter from someone the other day and figured I'd post the source in case anyone else is interested. The program and source
can be found in the downloads area: Download here.

For those interested, I've updated the helpfile to reflect the new
version of ILL ASAP so users can get a feel for how the program will work before
I post it for download. I anticipate turing on the download links by mid-week.

The new version of ILL ASAP is currently out and being
tested by a handful of instititions. I'll make it more widely available
as soon as I here the OK from my testers. The program actually can
be used by non-Innovative Interfaces institutions. The only aspect
of the program current III specific is the call number lookup. However,
non-III users can still use ILL ASAP 2.5+ to batch print and batch
update requests to filled or not filled. Its not quite as fast as
the previous version, but I'm sure that will work itself out as
time goes on.

With the retirement of ILLMe, the current codebase
of ILLASP will stop functioning. OCLC did contact me a while
ago to let me know how they were providing the functionality in
their new interfaces and I have recode the program into C# --
and am currently testing the application -- but
I'm not sure if anyone is making use of this program any
longer. OSU has long switched to Illiad, so if anyone out
there still makes use of this program, give me a holler and
I'll post the C# version and source code as soon as testing is
complete.

As of today, I'm releasing the source code for the new ILL ASAP. The program is written in a
one of my favorite programming languages, PowerBasic. This is a very low level version of BASIC,
that lets you do some fairly nifty things very quickly. It is easy to learn and the compiler is fairly
priced. If you want to get a hold of the source code, simply download it from the downloads page.

Welcome to the ILL ASAP home page. ILL ASAP is loosely based on Kyle Banerjee's original vbscript
of the same name. This project marks the next version or evolution of the program. Working with
Kyle Banerjee, we have taken his original script and converted it to a fully functional binary application.
What we hope to offer with this version is greater flexiblity, more accurate results, and faster searching
times.
As always, Kyle and I appreciate all comments and criticisms of the programs that we develop for public
use. If you have a question, or discover a bug in the program, please report it so that we can get the program
patched and re-distributed to our users. Moreover, if you think of an enhancement that could make
this program more useful to you, done hesitate to ask. In general, most enhancements to this program
will come by user request.
