Saving Editing Queries:

For the first time, MarcEdit 4.5 allows users to save queries created in the Replace function and the Edit Subfield function. Users now have the ability to save 100 unique queries for each of these operations. Please note, Unicode queries cannot be saved in this fashion because the underlying technology used doesn't exist on older versions of the Windows operating system. Why just these two functions? MarcEdit 4.5 also includes the ability to use Regular Expressions when modifying data in either the Replace function or the Edit Subfield function. Please note, regular expression support is slightly different from the standard grep regular expression syntax. For more information, please see: Using Regular Expressions in MarcEditor Replacement Functions.
