Overview:
Probably one of the most exciting new features introduced into MarcEdit 4.5 is Unicode support. Prior to MarcEdit 4.5, only the MarcEngine supported the processing of Unicode characters. However, Unicode files could not be created or modified within the MarcEditor or using any of the MarcEditor's editing functions. Moreover, previous versions of MarcEdit offered no method of converting files encoded in MARC-8 to Unicode. Well, this has changed as of MarcEdit 4.5.
