I am a behavioral ecologist with broad research interests in the areas of behavioral ecology, ecological physiology, and conservation biology. My research combines both experimental and comparative approaches to test predictions from theory with the goal of understanding how behaviors function in ecological time and how they have evolved over longer timescales. Currently, I am interested in research at the intersection between physiological ecology and conservation biology to determine the extent to which physiological characteristics can be used to make informed management decisions.
