Observations

General observations:
1. Students are much more willing to write their opinions, even to the world, than they are to speak them in a classroom. Apparently less than 20% of students will really say much in a class, but virtually all with write something on a computer and post it on the web. A potential research topic.

2. I obtained many interesting and well-stated discussions on the topics.

3. The reaction to the chat topics varied considerably.

4. Students pay attention to what other students say and are often willing to speak very clearly in either supporting the others points of view or criticizing them.
