GirlsGoTech.org: by the Girl Scouts® of the United States of America
This site contains general information about possible careers and futures in scientific fields. This site also has interesting facts, games, and links to other related sites. “In addition to working on projects as cool as building rollercoasters, engineers solve problems that are important to society. They help control and prevent pollution, develop new medicines, create advanced technologies, and sometimes even explore new worlds.”

Engineer Girl:
“Only 9% of American engineers are women. And only 20% of engineering degrees are earned by women. There are a number of reasons why the low number of women engineers is a problem.” Some special features of the site include a gallery of women engineers, EngineerGirl Education, which contains many resources and links on engineering, and a FAQ about careers, salaries, hours, etc.

OP Girls Learn to Ride:
“Is the original series of girls-only action sports clinics, designed to give females of all ages the basic skills and confidence necessary to participate in skateboarding, surfing, motocross, wakeboarding, BMX, mountain biking and snowboarding.” Also, by participating in these clinics you meet and learn from professionals and a portion of the event cost goes to Boarding for Breast Cancer.

SWE Region J Collegiates: ” Someday we’re hoping to attend the National Conference (once we gather the funds). We decided on going for the NC because, since travel from AK is so expensive, we’d like to get the biggest experience we can for our travel $!”
